Hide Your Love Away
I have been listening to that song a lot so I just thought I would share it. Also I've never really hated the Patriots, but I wouldn't mind popping Boston's bubble today. With that said I do not like the Giant's chances. I also want to see There Will Be Blood today. Looks epic.

Juno
So I have not read any interesting music news lately. I did see Juno like a week ago and it was awesome. Funny and kind of moving. The music was good to. Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth songs are in it. Plus it made me want an Arrested Development movie even more which I think will eventually happen. So to recap go see Juno and check out some songs I like after the poster.

Winterpills - Broken Arm
The Bell - I Am History
Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks - Baltimore

Armored Bears and Paper Planes
Movie Stuff
So there are going to be two hobbit movies made by Peter Jackson. Hope they don't call the second one Hobbit 2.
Dark Knight trailer is online. Why so serious?
I saw Golden Compass tonight and I liked it. I want a demon.
Music Stuff
Pitchfork says Panda Bear album was the best this year. I posted this video a while ago.
M.I.A. mad about MTV censoring her "Paper Planes" video. Check out what appears to be an uncensored video below.

So I have time to do a best albums of the year list finally. I know everybody is waiting for that. I haven't really posted any Christmas songs so I guess I will post some here. I am downloading music from my own blog so I don't have to listen to the stuff my sister has on this computer. She does have Harry and the Potters though. Thats always entertaining.

Golden Opportunities
So pretty much my favorite band Okkervil River have put together a mix tape made up of covers. It is not one of those cover albums put together for movies or video games with bands playing songs like this one. It is really impressive just like everything the band releases. So go get the Golden Opportunities Mix tape for free here. More songs including one from the mix tape after the cover.
My own mix tape for you to melt to.
Okkervil River - April Anne
New Ruins - Ships
Lykke Li - Little Bit

Speed Racer
The trailer is really flashy. I think it gave me seizures. Anyway add this to the list of movies that will probably be bad, but I still want to see. Here I come Golden Compass. (I will see anything with an armored bear in it)
Here is a Christmas song from Erlend Oye if you are in that mood. Mp3: Last Christmas

New Destroyer album coming out on Merge called Trouble in Dreams. Here is what I assume is the first single. MP3: Foam Hands
British Sea Power have an album coming out called Do You Like Rock Music? Which kind of sounds like a reality TV show. MP3: Atom
Daytrotter is a cool site where bands come in and play sessions. Usually playing new songs or changing up old ones. Sunset Rubdown just played one. Here is them playing the first song off of their new amazing album Random Spirit Lover. MP3: Mending of the Gown
And here is an entertaining video.

So I found a song about a whale so I thought it was appropriate to post it. It will probably confuse people even more. The song is pretty good, but I may be biased.

Girl in Port
Here is a video from one of my favorite bands that I saw on Pitchfork. It's Okkervil River playing Girl in Port off of their newest album The Stage Names. I think this version is pretty amazing.
Also go to this Grizzly Bear Post to download Grizzly Bear member Daniel Rossen covering Jojo's Too Little Too Late. Surprisingly awesome.

Evil Bee
Here is the new Menomena video for "Evil Bee". It is off of the album Friend and Foe which was released on Barsuk really early this year. It looks to have a pretty high budget for a band like Menomena at least compared to their awesome video for "Wet and Rusting"

It isTrue That it's a Story
So I saw No Country For Old Men tonight and I highly recommend it. I want to see it again like right now. I also saw Enchanted during break and well it was not bad, but Amy Adams was a lot better in Junebug. So I have not been listening to much during break, but I like these songs. Also I am ready for Christmas.

Airports
So I am flying home today for Thanksgiving. I have recently started associating airports with listening to music and reading. I think thats why I like airports. I think I am going to listen to the new radiohead album a lot because I definitely have not listened to it enough. O yeah if you didn't know you can pay nothing to download it, so go get that. Yeah right now I am just working on cleaning my room before I leave. Some songs you can listen to after MKE.

Safety Zone
Lou Reed of Velvet Underground fame has released some new songs. Pitchfork has the story. It has to do with a documentary about a Japaneses invasion. I like the song, but if you are looking for a Lou Reed solo album then Transformer is the way to go.

Need Your Needs
Georgie James is fronted by an ex Q and Not U member and released their debut on Saddle Creek. The song is pretty upbeat and catchy. So check it out if you are feeling depressed or something. The video is alright, I feel like I have seen that concept before though.

Cab News
Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie is releasing a solo album. He has produced albums for Tegan and Sara and the Decemberists. So it will probably at least be worth hearing. I am not sure if this is the first song to be released off of it, but here is a song after the jump.

Hello, kind of creepy band name
I recently was telling someone how I should listen to Dan Bejar of Destroyer more. He also plays in New Pornographers and Swan Lake. Now apparently he has a new group with a female vocalist called Hello, Blue Roses. Judging from one song it sounds like it is going to be good, but I don't think I can approve that band name.

The Flying Club Cup
I loved Beirut's previous releases. Especially the "Lon Gisland" EP. It was short, but his latest release the "Flying Club Cup" is 13 big, grand sounding songs and none of them drag on. He gets some help from Owen Pallet of Final Fantasy. It is really worth checking this album out.

O Canada
My friend is in Canada right now and I'm kind of jealous because I'm watching law and order in Wisconsin. And i started watching late so I don't know whats going on. This band is called the Canadians but they do not sound Canadian. I think I read on another blog they are Italian which reminded me of a pitchfork article i read a while ago about how bands use to be named after where they were from e.g. Boston.

So um new header?
I think I'm going to change it back because it actually looks pretty ridiculous. I'm not even sure if its a whale and I'm the one who made it. I will leave it up for a while I guess so this post makes sense. Anyway I'm always talking about New York bands but heres some love for a Milwaukee band. Maritime's new album is called "Heresy and the Hotel Choir" out on Flameshovel Records and judging by these two songs I think I'm going to like it just as much as I liked the last one.
Maritime - Guns of Navarone
